About this index

What this is

A free index of each New York judge's own published part rules — first call, motion day, courtroom, appearance mode, adjournment procedure — republished with attribution, the court's own update date, and a link to the original page. Every quoted answer is copied verbatim from the source; nothing here is generated or paraphrased.

Who publishes it

This index is published by CourtGigs, a New York per diem attorney marketplace: law firms post a court appearance, and an admitted New York attorney covers it. We built this index because our own users kept asking the same questions about the same parts, and because no public, structured, dated answer to them existed.

It is free, requires no account, and is not gated. We are not affiliated with the New York State Unified Court System, the Office of Court Administration, or any court or judge. Nothing on these pages is endorsed by them.

Sourcing

Rules pages are fetched from the public part-rules index pages the courts themselves publish on nycourts.gov, honoring each site's robots.txt and identifying honestly with a contact URL in our crawler's user agent.

Refresh cadence

Each source is re-checked on a rolling schedule; a page's "Checked by us" date reflects the last time we confirmed it, whether or not the text changed. A page's "Updated by the court" date is the court's own stated update date, copied from the page — never inferred. When the text does change, the change is recorded with a diff and shown in the change log.

Corrections & takedown requests

If a page is inaccurate, outdated, or you are chambers staff and would like a page removed or corrected, contact support@courtgigs.com. We honor a request from OCA or a chambers within one business day.

Not legal advice

Part rules change without notice. Always confirm against the court's own page before relying on anything shown here.
